Who Am I?

By day, I study law. Because someone has to make sense of the world, and it might as well be someone who knows how to argue politely.
By night, I write stories. Because that’s how I make sense of myself.

I spend a lot of time thinking about people. Why we do what we do. Why we hurt each other. Why we love anyway. Philosophy, psychology, the human condition, they’re not just interests, they’re excuses I give myself for staring out of windows and calling it research.

My first novel, Circling the Sun, was less of a debut and more of a confession. A story I told because I had to, because it wouldn’t stop tapping on the walls of my head until I let it out.

I love films. The way they let us live other lives for a little while. I also love dad jokes. The way they make people groan and smile at the same time. It’s a rare magic, that.
And sometimes I stand quietly in front of paintings for far too long, not because I understand them, but because I want to.

I live in Pune, India. I write. I wonder. I try to be a good person. Some days I even succeed.

About the Newsletter

If you’d like to keep up with the chaos I call a writing life, you're in the right place. There’s a new fantasy novel on the way. Of Glass & Nightmares (working title, subject to change depending on how dramatic I’m feeling that day). It’s the sequel to Shoes For Men & Beasts, and the second part of a trilogy that started as an idea and turned into something that now refuses to let me sleep.

Along the way, I share short stories. Some are strange. Some are soft. Some are about gods and monsters, and some are just about people trying their best.

There’ll also be writing tips, though, if we’re being honest, most of them are me talking to myself and hoping someone else finds it useful too.

So come along, if you’d like. Bring tea. Or chocolate. Or both. I’ll try to make it worth your time.

Current Projects

I am currently working on the sequel of Shoes For Men & Beasts, but that is far into the future. Shoes For Men & Beasts is my current baby and it has released on November 17th 2024! More details will be coming soon, stay tuned and make sure to subscribe to my newsletter.

There are older works too such as Circling the Sun, which was my debut novel and Cloud Shapes which is an epistolary novella. To know more:
